Shame of poverty, 2018

The work speaks of our own queues for bread here in Finland and the message of the work is still valid.

This is exactly what news reports of queues for bread are like. Standing in a charity queue is so shameful that nobody wants to have their identity revealed. We would also not really want to know who they really are. We would just not want to think about it at all.

The message is simple: Remember, do not forget me. Be in my position for a moment and feel what I am feeling. It is not very difficult to do, even if it seems to be the most difficult task in the world.
